The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (OCIIO) are the two agencies within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that are primarily responsible for implementing the Affordable Care Act, which was signed by President Obama in March 2010.

Come hear from Jennifer Ryan, Senior Advisor to the CMS Deputy Administrator/Director of the Center for Medicaid, CHIP and Survey & Certification, and Michelle Kitchman Strollo, Health Insurance Specialist from OCIIO, as well as some young staff.  They will discuss:

What are CMS and OCIIO doing to implement the Affordable Care Act?
What is it like to work in the federal government, especially for young professionals?
What job opportunities currently exist for young professionals at CMS and OCIIO?
