The Society  is participating in the Greater DC Care's MLK Day of Service! On Monday, January 16th, from 9 am - 1pm. We will be joining 2,000 of our neighbors in service to remember and honor the life and legacy of Dr. King. The volunteering activities include: 1)Preparing and sorting food for the hungry, 2) Teaching youth about the value of service & the legacy of Dr. King, 3) painting murals in school classrooms, 4) creating a safe and healthy play place for children, 5) treating seniors to a "spa day" and capturing their memories of Dr. King, and 6) protecting the vulnerable community members from home fires.
